When you’re shipping goods or products to another country there are a number of issues you need to consider. Perhaps the most important is packing...
Your goods must arrive
safely and in good condition, which means that the export packing
has to be fit for purpose. Our experience and expertise will ensure
that your cargo arrives at its destination in exactly the same
condition as it leaves you.
We can offer both an on and off site packing service for all kinds
of goods no matter of their size or commodity. All packaging
provided will be 'fit for purpose' and made to measure.
All the timber used for our export packing is treated in
accordance with ISPM 15 regulations.
What is ISPM15?
order to protect worldwide stocks of trees and forests, the
International Plant Protection Committee (IPPC) has taken
regulatory action to control the global movement of wooden
packaging in the form of ISPM15. The Forestry Commission is the
UK's representative on the IPPC. In essence ISPM15 stands for
International Phytosanitary Standard for Wood Packaging (ISPM15)
Regulations, which is regulatory action to help prevent the spread
of destructive pests such as the Asian Longhorn Beetle and the Pine
Wood Nematode. Wooden packaging material is often made of
unprocessed raw wood, which can provide a pathway for the
introduction and spread of such pests if left untreated"
